The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price, including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and offers numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when the fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill which is a feature available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allow users to set how many cups they want to dispense. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water remains but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with an ordinary French door design, and two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for tall items. There's also a full-width storage drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the great features of this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, which makes it easy to move frozen ice to the fridge for use when needed. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, for instance, sliding drawers that can help you better organize the placement of your items. It also has a huge bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items as well as an additional storage bin for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a great method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily enhance the efficiency of the fridge. The fridge took a bit longer to chill food and defrost it than the other fridges we tested. This is probably due to its larger capacity.

The doors pose a problem with this refrigerator. The sunken handles allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people will have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been much better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to blend the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools well and has a nice layout. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a French door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a basic fridge that may not be as attractive as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make it a suitable option. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser and a decent ice machine that works fast.

Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you redirect a portion of your fridge's cooling power into this area so it can be used to store food items which need extra attention. This feature is adjustable using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge, though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

During my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the fridge. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary much from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. That's a good performance, but it doesn't quite make it into the top ten in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise measurements of your fridge's temperature.
