The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and close however I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range that includes Wi-Fi as well as app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you manage your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also has numerous options for customizing. The fridge has a standard French door layout, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded to provide more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker making it easy to move the ice when needed. The freezer also features clever design features, such as sliding drawers that help you organize your items. It also has a large container for storing frozen food, and a separate container for ice.

Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator with an icemaker, which makes it a great option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire Slim French Door Fridge freezer door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a French-door fridge that won't break the budget. It's a basic design that isn't as visually striking like some of the competitors however it comes with enough features to make it a good option. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also has a large water dispenser as well as a good ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located above the two crisper bins, is a nice feature. This drawer lets you redirect part of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, so you can put away food items that require special attention. You can alter this feature by using an adjustable slider that is located just on the outside of the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the general settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.
