Like the name suggests, GE's Profile series is geared towards the consumer who wants to incorporate cutting-edge technology in their kitchen. This refrigerator has it all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker on the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive, so I expected better.

This refrigerator is a good choice, despite the blip. It has a large freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a fair amount of frozen food in comparison to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on what you would expect from a french door fridge vs side by side door fridge costing this much. It comes with a decent size refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. But it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to make the perfect storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins have an additional shelf that folds down to allow you to store tall items. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls so that you can set them to Beverage, Meat, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support fisher and paykel french door fridge ice maker GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill which is an option that is available in other GE fridges that allow you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. It does have an indicator on the fridge's display to show how much water you have remaining, but that's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen Bosch's French-door refrigerator looks seamless and is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer, and two compressors for the best preservation of food. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water consumption. This fridge is ideal for a single family or kitchenette that needs an attractive design and top of the best food preservation.

The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and never fluctuating more than a fraction a degree--this is key to avoiding freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour and remained at the temperature throughout our tests.

Bosch is known for its top-of-the-line appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is expensive, but it offers top-quality features and functions for the price.

While the fridge is an incredible piece of equipment, it's important to know the limitations. You may need to get creative with tall items because the fridge has a small shelf space. Additionally, the shelves are not sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who require plenty of space in a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has an ordinary French-door design with gallon-sized door bins on each door, two rows of spill-capture shelves, and a set of sleeker drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. There's also a full-width storage drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that can help you sort your things. It has a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate bin for ice.

Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature, lighting, and more from your smartphone. It's a good way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge than other refrigerators we tried. This is likely due to the bigger capacity.

The doors pose a problem with this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people will struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those looking to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth retro french door refrigerator Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice for those looking for a French-door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a simple fridge which may not be as eye-catching as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make it a an excellent option. Its most important feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items like vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent Ice machine that is fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located above the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This drawer lets you direct the majority of the refrigerator's cooling power to this area so that you can keep food items that require special attention. You can alter this feature using a slider that's located right outside of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, I found that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray very far from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a great performance however it doesn't make it into the top ten in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of grey-bodied stainless steel which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
