Upgrades can boost the performance of a piece and at times even add additional features. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are applied.

Reroll Tokens

Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to higher quality. To make them, you need a higher-quality reroll token. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item upgrader mod, rare upgrades require a unique or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but they are not because they boost stats. They are more valuable to players when they get the perfect roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
