The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through an efficient.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.

It has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap into and out of the way. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules every time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a problem for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot cleaner, or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy models.
